Not-So-Flattering Race Photos (Friday Five)


Happy Friday.  I'm linking up today with the DC Trifecta for Friday Five.  Today's topic is Fitness Snapshots.

It's difficult for me to get a really good race photo.  My finish photos usually look like I'm being tortured.  OH, that's right...I am!   Instead, I thought it would be fun to share a few unflattering candid photos taken at races, obviously most without my knowledge. 




Dear 8 pound 6 ounce newborn infant Jesus...

Whatever I Touch 
Starts To Melt In My Clutch
I'm Too Much 



 
What the frig is in my shoe?

I must...hold up...this...light pole...until help...arrives...

    These are hilarious!! I think the better question is what evil should we place upon the person who keeps taking these sneaky photographs of you?!? Hahaha!! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

    These are great! I can't believe the race photographer would take such random pics. So I have to ask, What were you really doing in the first pic? Tying your shoe? -M

      I was actually just trying to stretch my knees before a 10k trail run. I think my sleeves caught the photog's attention.

    Hahahaha!!!! This made me laugh so hard! Especially the heat miser one! I also always look tortured and struggling in photos....which I am.

      So glad you get the Heat Miser reference! Many people don't! Most of my finish photos are hideous because I'm really in so much pain. Ha!

    OMG, this is so funny. I used to complain about how expensive race photos were until I realized that none were worth buying!

      Exactly! Who wants to pay $24.95 for an awful 5x7 photo that you want no one to see! I LOVE it when they are free. Yep, some races do that.

    This is so my favorite of the linkups- such a good sense of humor about something other people expend a ton of energy on... better to just let the good times (and bad pictures) roll!

      You have to own up to the good and bad. Checked your pics. I do the thumbs up a lot! At least you are smiling and looking at the camera! I usually can't remember to do either one. HA.

    I do not take good race photos. I'm at the point, it doesn't matter if it was a good race or bad race, I don't look at the race photos at all.

      I much prefer the candid shots over the finish line or medal pose pictures. Some of them were taken by our local running club photographer. The others...I don't know.

      I never run with my phone either. It's too heavy. These were taken by race photographers.

    Very funny. I can't quite put together a good funny caption for it, but the first one makes me think you're trying to like track someone. I want to go with something about losing the course, but my brain just wont put it together, haha.

      Like... after getting lost on the course, she used the tracking skills she learned living in the wild to find the other runners. It still needs refinement. Ha.
